Gift Wrap: Fresh Leaves

Wrapping gifts doesn’t have to be complicated, but sometimes it’s worth putting the extra effort into it. This is a similar gift wrap idea that I’ve had on the blog before, but with a fresh spin on it. (See the previous one here.) I’m really into organic things at the moment, so this is my ideal way of wrapping things up.

For this one, I wrapped the package with pinstriped kraft paper and jute. I then paired real greenery with ones cut from paper and tied those on top with the loose ends of the jute. I crumpled up some paper circles and made a string of berries that are often found on bushes. And for the finish, a tag was given gold squiggly lines with gold puff paint and taped onto the package.

Gift Wrap: Kraft Box with Stamped Heart

Sometimes when you don’t have the time to wrap up a gift in wrapping paper, and you really don’t like gift bags, you could try a nice box instead. I’m a huge fan of kraft boxes and have them stocked up in my studio at all times for emergencies. Sometimes I like to gift spontaneously, and making a quick to Target just isn’t in the schedule. And wrapping these boxes up doesn’t take too much time. Because boxes are so structured, there’s no need to cover them up. For this gift, I taped the box shut with purple washi tape and tied a bow around it with purple bakers twine. I then stamped a huge heart on linen paper, placed that on top of the  enveloped card, slipped it under the bakers twine, and pinned it to the box with a mini clothespin. Simple, yet adorable.

Custom Card: Beautification

This custom card was fun to assemble. A gal ordered this to thank a makeup artist for her services. This card shows the make up artist herself putting on lipstick (that part was soooo incredibly hard to put together), beautifying herself just as she would one of her clients.

Gift Wrap: Bold Simplicity

Some people have the misconception that all wrapped gifts need to be incredibly complex to look beautiful. I say, embrace simplicity. Often times, I don’t have the time to wrap up a gift with intricate details and either toss the gift into a gift bag or do something simple like what I’m showing you today.

Inspired by yesterday’s palette, first, wrap your gift in white paper or any other solid colored paper. Then wrap a tag in washi tape (the spunkier the pattern, the better). Secure the tag onto the package by looping ribbon through it and then wrapping that ribbon around the package a few times. Tie the loose ends of the ribbon underneath the tag to hide it. Easy as ever.

Gift Wrap: Flower Field

Not all gifts need to be wrapped in ribbon and bows and today, I’ve got an idea for you that requires no ribbon. So for those of you who can’t tie a pretty bow, this is for you! Inspired by yesterday’s palette, I punched out flowers from glitter paper, bent the petals up, and secured them onto the top of the wrapped gift with tacky glue. Then I filled in the middles with white puff glue. And that’s it! If you’ve got a big gift, this will be very time consuming, so I guess this would work best if you’ve got a little gift, like the one I wrapped up.
