Custom Card: Galina’s Getting Married

My dear cousin and friend Galina is getting married to Max Lopatin. {He does both videography & photography and is super talented.} I really couldn’t be happier. Here are two of my favorite photos from their engagement session with You + We Photography. Can’t wait to show you what their wedding stationery looks like {currently being designed}. I’m loving it.

Well, since weddings usually call for a bridal shower…I recently had the pleasure of attending Galina’s surprise bridal shower, and I just had to make her a card. Of course. This card consisted of 14 small pieces all glued together to form a tux and a gown. I had made a similar card before, but this time, I customized it just for Galina. I loved it so much that I even put it up for sale in my Etsy Shop. You can find it here: Tux & Gown (handcrafted card).

Custom Card: Water Love

I’ve known Dmitriy for years and only recently got to meet his pretty lady, Victoria. Victoria is one of those girls you immediately like and admire. The two recently got married and here’s an amazingly sweet recap of the proposal and wedding day by Shiksa Studio.

Dmitriy + Victoria | Recap from Shiksa Studio on Vimeo.

Dmitriy is a firefighter and this is the card that Victoria custom designed to give to her husband on their wedding day. You can even catch a glimpse of Dmitriy receiving the card in the film. The bride stands in a white lace dress wearing a red firefighter’s hat and holding a firefighter’s hose that has water pouring out {and a little bit of “I <3 U” too}.

Inspirational Wedding: Be Enchanted

We all love to be enchanted. This photo shoot has produced something that does just that. Monet inspired, this shoot has got to be one of my most favorite I’ve ever been a part of. I don’t even want to ramble on about how beautiful the pastel colors look against the woodsy, almost magical setting — I think you can see that for yourself.

The table is completely natural, covered in moss and needles. The palette was all pastels, and I think it became more beautiful set among something untamed. I especially loved the glasses: really lightweight and pink ones from Anthropologie.

The bouquet looked really sweet with a long peach ribbon bow streaming down. It looked even sweeter next to the swoon-worthy wedding dress. And the dress looked even more sweeter on the beautiful model.

When I was contacted about this shoot, I was told that a set of Monet inspired stationery was needed. Do I join the team? Yes, I love Monet! The stationery was tea length, printed on super smooth ivory paper with a watercolor texture printed on the back. Pastels bows in pink, green, ivory, and gray were tied around the invitation. The coordinating envelopes were pastel green and shimmery. Textured too. I am so in love with the envelopes. I dug up the leftover candles from my wedding to set up around the stationery and borrowed the bouquet and some vintage stamps. I think it did the trick.

The Leach Botanical Garden {the venue} has so many pretty places to take pictures at. I can’t even imagine what it must look like during the summer in full bloom. This shoot was the first time I had even heard of the garden and I was certainly impressed.

And to end this post, a simple and sweet photo of the boutonnieres:
