Those of you that know me more personally, you all know how much I adore boardgames. Now I’ve added a new type of game to my list. At my sister’s bridal shower, we played one of my all time favorite bridal shower games: make your own bouquet. I’ve only played it once before at a bridal shower that my older sister hosted when one of her best friends was getting married. Why I love this game? You have to get your craft on!
HOW IT’S DONE:
1 Put together baggies filled with random objects that could possibly make a good bouquet, and those that are a bit questionable. Mix the bags up a bit so they don’t all have the same material inside. Make sure you include a paper plate, some tissue paper, a silk flower or two, ribbon, and tape. Can’t have them looking completely ridiculous, you know.
2 Group your party into smaller groups of 2-3 folks. Give each team their own baggie.
3 Set the timer to 15 minutes, and let each team come up with their version of the best bouquet from what they have.
4 For extra fun, have the bride-to-be not participate in this game. Hide her in the closet and make sure she doesn’t see who makes which bouquet so there’s no bias. When the 15 minutes are up, have her pick her favorite one to use at her wedding rehearsal. Have her pick her second favorite one to practice tossing the bouquet in the backyard with all the gals present at the party.
Here are some of my favorite ones that came out of my sister’s bridal shower. The first one is one that my older sister and I made, and I’m thrilled to say that it was her favorite one. Yes!
