Custom Card: Heart Infested

This custom Valentine was decked out in various layered paper hearts, in the end creating a card loaded with love. And a very green card in a small way, since all these hearts were leftovers from previous projects and finally got the chance to be used somewhere.

Max and Galina are two of my dear friends, so when they asked me to do their stationery for their September wedding of last year (yeah, it’s taken me a while to blog about these), I was honored. They wanted mixed type with one illustrative element, a tree. Perfect. Printed on creamy smooth paper with gray inks and coordinated with a gray linen envelope, this set was one of my favorites of 2011.

Here’s one of their wedding photos from Daniel Usenko:

When your sweetheart has a big heart, you need to send along a bigger heart via a fun card. So how about something sparkly with a handmade touch? Start by downloading the heart card template HERE. Print it scaled at 100% on smooth paper at least 80# in weight. Then follow the steps below to get your own sparkling heart.

Easy enough, right? I’d love to see the ones you put together for your sweethearts…

Custom Card: A Seattle Stroll

Remember the giveaway that I hosted on Discover Paper back in November? The gal who won the custom card received this card that I have dubbed A Seattle Stroll. It’s been a while and I’m only getting around to blogging about it now.

Her and her husband met in Seattle for the first time, so this card is something extra special as they take a stroll back to where they began. Such a cute idea that the winner had, don’t you think?

Custom Card: Christmas for Angie

A Christmas card for Angie? Let’s give it a shot:

Angie loves to bake and dreams about seeing Italy one day. To make it more of a holiday card, I threw a red party dress on her and gave her ponytail a little metallic bow. I also placed a christmas tree cake topper in her hand. Pair the completed card with a sparkly red envelope and we’re good to go.

This card had so many separate pieces to it, I think I glued  all my fingers together, haha. But it turned out so pretty…what do you think?
