Guest Blogger: The Paper Dialogues

Hello!  I’m Connie from over at The Paper Dialogues and Connie Lyu Photography. I’m super honored to be guest posting on Anastasia’s blog because she is seriously the sweetest lady ever and also makes the sweetest paper goods.

Some of you may think kraft is one of those fads that are so cute but so overdone at times, but I beg to differ. I swear I’m not behind the times and just showing up to the Oscars in my MC hammer pants. There just seems to be an endless amount of new and interesting ways to incorporate this wonderfully charming, inexpensive and sustainable material into your packaging, events, you name it!

Kraft tissue paper and twine or a simple rubber band can be used to top off a glass jar. Voila! Cute present! (left)  Crumpling an old grocery bag, adding a sprig of an herb, and then using twine or rope to wrap a gift gives an antique, vintage feel. (right) I’d imagine this would be perfect to wrap soap.  ( 12 )

I can’t get over how such an inexpensive material can look so refined and elegant. Simply pairing it with a neutral-colored tablecloth and florals (left) or adding the element of thread/stitching (right) seems to add that needed touch to make this material look out of its own league.  (1, 2)

I adore these cards by Shanna Murray and these book covers by Neithersnow. Both show how kraft and white ink will always be a power couple : ).  (12)

Check out these neat ways to use kraft paper in your wedding paper process: a menu, table number, invitation suite. I love how they used interesting, geometric shapes in an envelope liner with the kraft envelope.  ( 123 )

Lastly (not to purposely do a shameless self-plug), I love the look of gouache and black ink on kraft. I haven’t made more of these journals in a while because of lack of time, but they were my favorite to make! Grab yourself a kraft journal and paint away for a sweet little gift for a friend.

Hi everyone! Chris from Postcards & Pretties here, I’m so happy to be stopping by Anastasia’s beautiful blog. Today I’m sharing with you one of my favorite inspiration boards.  At first I fell in love with the Lake Como image and instantly my head began spinning with ideas. I began picturing a dreaming estate with views to the lake, of course! during the harvesting of the grapes. It’s warm, soft and romantic everything a wedding should be!

Hi there everyone! It’s Jennie Prince here from Odessa May Society and today I’m filling in for the ever so sweet, Anastasia, while she enjoys a mini break this month. I thought I would share a super simple idea for sending warm wishes this autumn season. Not only is it a sweet sentiment found in the mailbox but it doubles as a tiny decorative garland as well! And bonus, I’m sure the little ones would love to help or make their own too. Play around with shapes, messages, and textures…have fun with it! This project is totally versatile!

INSPIRED BY: PATTERNS

Hi Everyone! In case you don’t know me, I’m Lauren, the owner and editor of the wedding planning and inspiration blog, Every Last Detail! I’m so excited to be able to give Anastasia a little break while she’s on vacation!

I’m always looking for new things to be inspired by, and lately I’ve been loving all kinds of patterns! I think in terms of all things wedding, so how awesome would it be for a wedding’s style and theme to revolve completely around a pattern?! But really, patterns are great for everything- paper products, home design, clothing, etc! Yep, patterns are officially my new obsession!

And a few excellent fabric patterns that I’m loving…

It could be all one pattern or a combination of a few, whatever you like! Either way, anything with a pattern is sure to be incredibly modern and chic! So who else is loving patterns as much as I am?! Which is your favorite?

SUMMER FLOWERS

Hello! Chelsea from Frolic! here. I am excited to be on Anastasia’s lovely blog today. These are some photos Samantha Shorey took at a flower class we had a few months ago. It was a lovely day. The selection of flowers included gorgeous garden roses, peonies, jasmine, mock orange, blueberries, and spirea. That cute little girl was peering in on our class (it was raining here in Portland, of course!)! Hope you enjoy!
