An Engagement Session

Taking photos of people is a very intimidating thing. I think that’s why I stick to things only. Nature doesn’t care if the shadows are a little off or the bloom of the flower isn’t quite perfect. People, on the other hand, care. But when my sister and her fiancee asked me to do a little session for them, I agreed but told them to find a professional as well because I was sure to disappoint. In the end I warmed up to the idea, even got a little excited — and we came out with several snaps that I think didn’t turn out so bad that I wanted to share simply because I think my sister and her new man are just too adorable.

The kids are huge fans of coffee, so it was only just to snap a few during our coffee break. It was freezing when we decided to do the shoot, so the coffee (and hot chocolate for some) was a very welcome thing. Here I quickly realized that taking photos of people indoors is a completely different ballpark than being outdoors.
