I’ve decided to start a new hashtag project.

If you follow me over on Instagram, you most likely already know about this. I have a huge heart for gift wrap and everything that it entails, so to both inspire both you and myself, this project is going to come in handy. If you’ve been inspired by one of my gift wrap posts on my blog and wrapped something pretty as a result, or if you’re just proud of your latest gift wrap that’s not necessarily inspired by one of my posts, tag your photo #wrapitproject over on Instagram for a chance to get reposted on my Instagram account. Who here loves paper as much as I do (or maybe even more)?!

Gift Wrap: Mini Flags

Those who have nightmare-ish experiences with wrapping paper, this is for you. To recreate this gift wrap idea, you’ll need the following supplies:

Kraft box
Glitter card stock in gold, bronze, and white
White glitter string

Scissors

Enclose your gift in the box and simply close the lid. That could be enough, but I don’t think so; glam it up! Cut out mini flags from the glitter card stock, varying them in length but keeping the width the same. String them in a random order (but pretty, of course) onto the glitter string and tie the loose ends of the string in the back. Done!

Hello Autumn

autumn leaves

Autumn is here. I prefer that word so much more than fall. It sounds more beautiful. I saw the leaves (pictured above) the other day and was giddy. The first signs of fall. It was just one main branch of the tree, oddly enough, for the bulk of the tree is still a luscious green. I do love summer, but we had such a hot one this year, I’m so glad to see the rain and hear it falling at night. I love being able to step outside and not instantly sweat. Give a couple months and I’ll start complaining about all the rain and how I long for summer again, but I guess that’s just life. I’m really looking forward to all the adventures this season holds, and if you’re interested in following along, I post more regularly over on Instagram, so it’d be really really cool if you followed along there: @anastasiamika
