Gift Wrap: Simply Tissue

My sister got engaged this past weekend and we’re very excited for her and her fiancee. And that rock of hers? Swoon. I gave them a ring dish as an engagement present and wrapped it up in one sheet of tissue paper. I say this all the time and I don’t always abide by it, but gift wrapping doesn’t always have to be crazy in order to be beautiful. Sometimes, all you need is a pretty piece of tissue paper, some washi tape to seal it up, a yard of twine, and a fun tag. It’s affordable, it’s quick, and if you’re careful enough not to wrinkle the tissue too much, you can get a winner of a wrapped gift.

Gift Wrap: Tag It

It’s been a while since I’ve done one of my gift wrapping idea posts. Once again, it’s not one of my own ideas, but I just had to share a concept that’s pretty much my life right now. With all the frenzy going on as we are just 3.5 weeks away from our baby’s due date, daily things have been getting simplified left and right in order to make room for all the baby things that still need to get done. Wrapping up gifts is certainly on that list. So if you find yourself short on time, an easy way to wrap up a gift really nice is to just add a fun tag. Keep the wrapping paper simple — keep the bow simple — but go crazy with the tag by making it a bold color, using a fun material like fabric or wood, adding a handmade touch by hand-lettering something, or use your favorite stamp. The possibilities are endless and the result is always perfect.

Styled Shoot: Spring Florals

spring florals styled shoot

I recently had the honor of being part of a styled shoot with the talented Michaela Noelle. Even though I didn’t get to be on site during the shoot since it took place in California, it was still fun to be a part of something like this. With lots of bright florals as the theme, I created stationery to showcase that. Printed with fuchsia, green, and gray inks, the stationery was given a floral + stripe design with the big blooms actually popping up as they were made up of separate tiny pieces of paper. The photos don’t show that bit of detail, but they were there! Coordinated with brown kraft envelopes, shimmery gold liners, and gold glitter string, this set of stationery was one of my faves.

Also, this styled shoot was featured on Wedding Chicks last week! Head on over there to see more of the detail that I didn’t share here on my blog.

This card was custom ordered as a Valentine’s card. Let’s just say the guy was whisking his girlfriend away on a trip to Iceland and the card was created to go along with the theme. Now, how awesome would it be to get whisked away to Iceland? Dreaming here.

Gift Wrap: Metallic Valentine

metallic valentine gift wrap #anastasiamariecards

This week’s Valentine’s gift wrap idea is about mixing metals. Inspired by this week’s inspiration palette, I’ve grouped gold and silver together to form a re-veamp of one of my past gift wrap ideas, this one with a Valentine’s twist.

1    Wrap your gift in metallic gold/silver speckled paper.

2   Tie some glitter string around the package.

3   Stick a foil heart sticker on a glitter tag and secure onto the wrapped gift with a glitter clothespin.
